Monday night’s NHL schedule is an exciting one to bring some action to the ice to start the week. But, for my NHL picks today, we will focus on betting opportunities in Colorado Avalanche at Philadelphia Flyers, Ottawa Senators at New Jersey Devils & Pittsburgh Penguins at Seattle Kraken.

Colorado Avalanche at Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers just fired their head coach, and there’s usually a jump in a team’s step when something like that happens. I don’t necessarily believe they’ll win the game, considering they have eight in a row, but we should see plenty of goals scored.
Avalanche games going over the total have the second-highest ROI rate (36.7%) in the NHL, behind only the expansion Seattle Kraken which we’ll discuss later. During the Flyers’ eight-game losing streak, they have allowed 4+ goals in all but one of those contests.
Pick: Over 6.5 Goals (-110)
Ottawa Senators at New Jersey Devils
The Senators are getting some sharp money to come in on their end tonight. Although 75% of the bets are coming in for the Devils, this is a good opportunity for the worst team in the Eastern Conference to get themselves back on their feet for a day, at least.
A good time it is, indeed, as the Senators have won two straight games while the Devils have lost three straight and allowed 18 goals over that stretch.
Pick: Senators (ML +160)
Pittsburgh Penguins at Seattle Kraken
This is another odd line, as most of us would think the Penguins would be heavily favored here. However, a recent torrid stretch by Pittsburgh that has seen it lose three out of the last four games, has it reeling in recent days.
On the other side, the Kraken is starting to get in a bit of a groove with three wins over the last four games. A good part of that came on the road, but they did beat the Edmonton Oilers at home back on Friday – that was the Kraken’s last game, thus giving them a two-day rest advantage over their opponents tonight.
