Thursday night’s NHL slate is loaded with seven games of hockey. In this article, I will provide my top three hockey picks tonight to make a maximum profit on Thursday, February 10, 2022.
The three games being discussed tonight are the Carolina Hurricanes at Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs at Calgary Flames & Tampa Bay Lightning at Colorado Avalanche. Let’s dive right in and see where the value is tonight.
Our Favorite NHL Picks Today (2/10/22)
Carolina Hurricanes at Boston Bruins
NHL Pick: Hurricanes ML (-135)
The Hurricanes have dominated the season series, winning both games by an aggregate score of 10-1. The most recent meeting was a 7-1 beatdown last month in Boston, where tonight’s game is.
The Bruins will be without Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. In addition, goaltender Tuukka Rask just announced his retirement, which was to be expected, but it does put a somber mood around the team. The Hurricanes have played six straight one-goal games, so look for them to turn it up a notch after flubbing their last game away up in Ottawa.
Toronto Maple Leafs at Calgary Flames
NHL Pick: Over 6 Goals (-115)
The Flames absolutely crushed the Golden Knights last night by a touchdown. That was not the outcome I was looking for, considering I wrote up the Golden Knights and might have even said they were an “absolute steal,” or something along those lines. Yikes.
Nevertheless, that free-flowing offensive vibe from Calgary should be spewing onto the ice this evening. If it isn’t, Toronto will gladly help them out as one of the top-scoring teams in the NHL this season. The Maple Leafs have scored 4+ goals in four of their last five games while the Flames have done the same in each of their last three games.
Tampa Bay Lightning at Colorado Avalanche
NHL Pick: Over 6 Goals (-120)
We’ll complete the night with yet another total going over, with this one happening between the two best teams in the NHL. Neither team has played a game yet since the All-Star break, and in recent articles, I felt like that was a detriment to teams. However, these teams are not built the same – I would not be surprised if both offenses have already started foaming at the mouth.
This total is listed as 6.5 at most sportsbooks, but you can pick up the 6.0 on both BetMGM and DraftKings.
