This will be a fantastic matchup between two of the hottest teams in the NHL when the Hurricanes travel to face the Maple Leafs. Heading into the All-Star break, Toronto had won five straight games while Carolina won four straight.
I’m going to take the underdogs Hurricanes in this matchup, considering the moneyline looks a little suspect. Other bettors are seeing the same thing as we’re getting about 65% of the money heading in favor of the Canes. Carolina has been strong in close games, winning each of their last four games by a single goal.
New Jersey Devils at Ottawa Senators
NHL Pick: Devils ML (+115)
I’ll be taking another +115 underdog in the other game of the evening. Looking at the betting landscape, there’s a decent difference of bets to money wagered- the Senators are getting about 60% of the bets while the Devils are getting about 60% of the money.
New Jersey lost its last six games before the All-Star break, but its schedule was loaded against strong teams like Toronto, Carolina, Tampa Bay, Dallas, and Los Angeles. On the other side, Ottawa lost three of its last four games and has been one of the worst teams in the NHL all season. Look for the Devils to come through with the victory tonight.
